On February 1, 2021, Embassy of Japan in Nepal signed the agreement with VFS Global for the visa processing.
From March 4, 2021 onwards, the visa service at Embassy will be undertaken by VFS Global.
Visa service details by VFS Global are as below:
*Booking of visa appointments from applicants
*Accepting visa applications from applicants
*Issuing visas to applicants
*Answering enquires for visa applications (via phone or email)
VFS Global is in charge of the Japanese visa service from March 4, 2021.
Please contact VFS Global directly for (1) booking visa appointment, (2) submitting visa application, (3) collecting visa.
*The new visa applications are currently not acceptable due to the COVID-19 prevention by the Government of Japan.
*The website of VFS Global will become available shortly, we will inform you once it would be ready.
*Please check VFS Global website from time to time. Once the above measures will be amended, you will be able to make bookings for your visas.
*For visa applicants who already booked appointments with Embassy and were given notices from December 28, 2020 until March 26, 2021. You will be informed directly by VFS Global for the new appointment date, you do not need to make a new booking with VFS Global.
The Embassy still accepts visa applications for below categories:
*Diplomatic and official passport holder
*Cases which require visa immediately for humanitarian reasons
*Those who are contacted by the Embassy
